Barn Conversions in Redhill

Brief

Bramble Developments is a successful family run business based in Shropshire which has gained recognition in Bridgnorth and surrounding areas for superior renovation work. We were contracted to supply a complete underfloor heating installation on the first phase of a development of eight luxury barn conversions in Redhill, Telford.

 

Key Considerations

The project was one large barn complex, separated into eight terraced properties, with new walls segregating sections into living spaces. This posed a number of challenges for our underfloor heating Shropshire team.

Barns typically have no damp proofing, and a membrane would have to be laid before floor insulation could be put down. One property featured several exposed pipes in a single room, which we would have to carefully lay insulation and pour screed around.

 

What We Achieved

We sent in the surveyors from our underfloor heating Shropshire team first, taking all the measurements necessary to calculate the optimal levels of floor insulation and liquid floor screeding for the barns.

The project was completed to order without any complications. Floor insulation, damp membranes, and vapour barriers were laid, taking care around the exposed pipework to ensure it would still be accessible. Underfloor heating and liquid floor screeding were eventually laid in the barn properties, and the client was satisfied with our work.
