Full Underfloor Heating for 26 Shropshire New Builds

Brief

In September 2019, Easyflow began working with Fletcher Homes (Shropshire) Ltd to design and install the Easy Standard system, our most efficient way to heat a house. They wanted a floor system consisting of a 175mm insulation build up, underfloor heating and liquid floor screeding at Berrington Meadows. The Meadows is a new build development, comprising three to four bedroom homes and two-bedroom bungalows, located on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.

Key Considerations

Each plot type was different in size and layout. Furthermore some had individual adjustments for their position on the land. These needed to be surveyed by our underfloor heating installer before every phase to determine what depths of insulation were necessary in order to keep the screed depth to as close to the optimum depth of 50mm as possible.

Adjusting the depth of the insulation instead of making adjustments to the floor screed depth at a later date would reduce costs and screed drying time, whilst keeping our standard solution as the most efficient way to heat houses.

What We Achieved

Underfloor heating had been installed to the ground floors of each property ranging from 3 to 5 zone systems, bespoke designed to achieve the best possible performance for each house type.

We provided a full design, supply, and underfloor heating installer service for every property without major complications. New homeowners would be reassured that their heating came with a two-year workmanship guarantee and parts warranty of up to 50 years.
