What is Liquid Screed?

Liquid screed is an innovative building material used to provide a smooth floor finish ready to accept final floor finishes or to be polished. Flowing screeds can be used to encase underfloor heating pipes, providing a high performance thermal mass to transfer the heat efficiently through to the surface.

Liquid screeds are supplied ready-mixed and then pumped in and placed by our team of expert installers.

Our screeds can be used over electric or water-based underfloor heating systems, bonded i.e to an existing floor, or floating i.e onto thermal or acoustic insulation.

What Is Liquid Screed Made of?

There are several different types of liquid screeds available on the market through Easyflow to suit most applications.

Anhydrite liquid screeds, such as Gyvlon Eco, Topflow Screed A, and Supaflo are made up of a binder, special additives, selected aggregates, and mixed with water. Anhydrite liquid screeds can be tweaked to be faster-drying, extra strong, or to offer higher thermal performing properties.

Cement-based screeds consist of a blend of cement, sand, superplasticiser, binder and water. These products, such as Cemfloor and Longfloor, are deisgned to produce a smooth, level surface with fast drying properties.
